Most people expect smooth navigation on the best online poker sites, and no one will be disappointed with the menus on Everest. You can choose to search through the various games using a tabbed navigation system, or there is a way to customize the menus to show only the stakes of your choice. Once you figure out which method you like best, you should have no problems finding exactly what you need.

A major benefit of being able to play on money poker sites is the chance to play multiple tables at once. Like many of the best sites, Everest offers resizable tables, but they also give you a feature that not many sites offer: you can choose to size the tables to four different resolutions. You can choose from 640x480, 800x600, 1024x728, and 1280x960. Combined with the ability to resize your tables to your own custom choices, the Everest Poker download is ahead of most other sites.

When it comes down to it, however, the huge resources required to run the program is a major negative. To come even close to a Bwin Poker download, they will have to figure out a way reduce the toll on people's computers. There is an option to cease table animations, but it doesn't really help matters.

If you want to wait for Everest to give their software an overhaul prior to sitting at their tables, there are plenty of other sites to choose from. Go back to my previous articles to read about Tiger Gaming, for example. Good luck at the tables!

The topic of this article is the same as Tiger Gaming in that it is also not one of the US poker sites. Everest Poker's target audience is mostly people learning to play poker for the first time, making it the perfect place for a quick bankroll boost. The lowest NLHE stakes available are $0.10 - $0.10, and you can progress up to the highest stake of $50 - $50. Most players are satisfied with this range of buy-ins, and those that prefer to play higher should consider alternate money poker sites. By the way, that was not a typo up there. For some reason all NL stakes are described by using the same value twice, even though it's just the amount of the big blind with the small blind being half that number. I thought you should know that before you make the download and spend half your night being confused.

You'll be pleased to know that the Limit stakes are stated quite normally. They offer $0.02 - $0.04 and the highest limit is $50 - $ 100. Once again, this won't suit the players with the biggest bankrolls. Sit and Go's can be played for as little as $0.04 + $0.01 and progress up to a fairly large $500 + $30. I already advised that similar to Tiger Gaming, Everest Poker is not on the list of US poker rooms. In addition to the U.S., players from Russia and China are also not allowed on Everest.

Everest Poker is a lot bigger than it was a few years ago, and the team is trying as hard as possible to become a favorite way to download free poker. Unlike a lot of new poker sites, they chose to create their very own Everest network rather than become a skin of another site. The Everest Network is currently the 6th most popular poker network online. An Everest Poker download is actually a great place to begin playing poker.

No site is perfect, however, this site included. One downside is that only Holdem and Omaha are offered. This is strange considering that the best online poker rooms these days feature at least some Stud varieties. Also, unless you have a newer computer, you may find yourself getting irritated as the program uses a lot of resources. Everything considered, though, you'll encounter a lot more good than bad on Everest Poker.

It is unfortunate that Tiger Gaming is not on the list of the US poker sites available today, but I still want to discuss them for another entry. The software at Tiger Gaming was recently updated with some useful features. Before the update, they were definitely missing some key features that make online poker a positive playing experience.

Instant hand histories have finally arrived at the Tiger Gaming tables. People that like multi-tabling will also be pleased to know that you can now play up to 30 tables at once, and the tables are even resizable. Furthermore, if you like stats, you can look at some basic stats right at the table, no HUD required.

When you are at the table and the action hasn't reached you yet, you have the option to use advance action commands. One interesting observation is that unlike many other money poker sites, the No Limit games do not have two common advance action options: "call any" and "raise any". This is actually a good thing since you can lose a lot of money in No Limit when they are clicked by accident.

Regarding table chat, you can opt to see dealer chat, player chat, both, or neither. And like the best rooms such as a Bwin Poker download, there is also a four color deck available which makes multi-tabling easier and prevents mix ups with suits.

One odd feature of the software is that when you want to bet, you have to press the 'bet other' button to bet greater than the minimum. Then the 'bet other/raise other' console pops up which is automatically set to bet the pot. While it sounds like an annoying extra step, it's actually not bad, although some people dislike that it automatically selects a pot sized bet unless you change it. It's true that this can be bad sometimes, but it can also benefit you. The PokerStars download has no 'bet pot' button and therefore people often make very small bets, but at Tiger they will often just bet the pot because it's so easy to do. This is bad if you are in the hand and needs odds for drawing to a flush or straight. During times when betting the pot isn't optimal, though, this turns into an advantage for you.

Unlike a lot of the best online poker sites, players can remove their money from the table whenever they feel like it, and then they can sit down at the same table with less money immediately afterwards. Many players greatly disapprove of sites that allow this since 'ratholing' is heavily frowned upon.

The cash tables at Tiger also feature different minimum and maximum buy-ins. Instead of a normal 100BB maximum-10BB minimum, Tiger has a 40-50BB minimum (changes at different stakes) and the normal 100BB maximum. Many people will enjoy this as short stackers are usually disliked and are better off playing with a free slots download (according to me, at least).

Tiger Gaming features a clean looking site that is easy on the eyes. The bonus is generous and you will find the customer support quite accommodating. Tiger Gaming is unique in that it has some special games that you will not find in any other poker room. Such games include Chinese Poker (very addictive), Pan, Guts (my favorite), and Big 2 (a classic). You can't get a roulette bonus here, but the other games are so fun that you won't want to waste your time with casino games anymore.

I haven't talked about actual poker yet! Tiger Gaming offers Limit and No Limit Holdem, Limit and Pot-limit Omaha and 7 Card Stud (in theory).

Tiger Gaming has recently been advertising aggressively in Canada, encouraging consumers to download free poker in commercials airing on TSN, Rogers Sportsnet and The Score. I suppose they decided that Canada is full of potential poker players. Because of this, many of the players on the site are Canadian, and they don't have lot of experience at the game.

Traffic can be bad at times, most noticeably at levels higher than 50NL. If you're new to money poker sites, though, finding a table at $2 NL up to $25 NL is usually very easy. You will usually have three to six 25NL tables to choose from, for example. If you want to play 50NL, it'll be a little bit trickier. You will usually only find one table, maybe two if it's your lucky day. Those looking for 100NL will be even more disappointed. 100NL pretty much never runs, and when it does, there's only one table. The site does offer stakes up to $ 1000NL but I have never seen the game actually happen, so players at these stakes will need to go play a PokerStars download.

I also have to admit that the traffic for games other than Hold'em is quite bad. 7 Card Stud is available for those interested, but its tables remain empty day after day. Omaha has similar problems. There may be one table of Omaha going on, usually of the 0.1/0.2 pot-limit variety. If you enjoy these non-Hold'em games, you should instead consider a Fulltiltpoker download. If we're talking about the unique games (like Big 2), at peak hours it is not hard to get a game going. Since Tiger is the only place you can find them, the player base is more reliable. My favorite game, Guts, usually can be seen at 2-3 tables at a time, and the minimum bet is usually from 10 to 50 cents.

Overall, the action on Tiger Gaming is not good but if you are a lower stakes player, it is not bad either. If you're new to poker, I would recommend that you build a bankroll at Tiger and then go ahead and earn a Titanpoker bonus code when you want some stiffer competition.
